Station 1-"Headquarters"Lego Coast FD Station 1 is located in the vast and peaceful residential area of Lego Coast. This station also serves as the current department headquarters and houses the dispatch office and administration offices. Station 1's protection area includes mainly residential, some commercial, and many highways. For this reason, Squad 24, Tower 24, and Medic 2 are housed here to respond to any emergency that might occur in this area. The crews at Station 1 respond to various emergencies including MVA's, structure fires, and many medical calls.
The apparatus at Station 1 also respond city-wide for extrications or tactical rescue calls. Tower 24 and Squad 24 make up the main rescue task force for the city and carry equipment for high angle rescue and advanced extrication. A heavy rescue is being considered in the near future to take over some of these calls and reduce the activity at Station 1. Staffing=1 Captain, 1 Engineer, and, 4 Firefighters, and 2 Paramedics per shift, 24/7. |
Tower 24-2012 Pierce Arrow XT 100' Platform Ladder
Tower 24 is Lego Coast's only ariel apparatus and runs city-wide for large structure fires. This truck is the first apparatus to be painted in the new white/black color scheme. This truck carries ALS medical equipment, various firefighting tools, and rope rescue equipment. This truck seats up to six firefighters and will run with Squad 24 on all tactical rescue calls or confirmed fire alarms. |
Squad 24-2013 KME Predator Rescue Pumper
Squad 24 is the department's newest truck and can serve a variety of tasks for the department. Squad 24 responds city-wide for MVA's w/ entrapment, HAZMAT calls, and rescue calls. It responds as a 2nd-due engine for structure fires if needed. This truck carries a set of Hurst extrication equipment, various firefighting equipment, and ALS medical equipment. |
Medic 2-2004 Ferrara/Road Rescue
Medic 2 is a very unique apparatus. It runs out of Station 1 and responds to all medical calls, MVA's, etc. This apparatus always responds with a crew of 2 Paramedics to handle any ALS call. With the growing community and department, a new, more spacious ambulance is planned to replace rig this very soon. |
