Station 2Lego Coast FD Station 2 is located in the residential section of Lego Coast and covers the nearby neighborhoods, as well as the small agricultural sections of the city. This is the department's newest station and is currently housing two apparatus. Engine 26, a 1990/2013 Pierce Arrow XT Pumper/Tanker, and Squad 26, a 2011 Ford F-450, respond to the farms and rural highways of Station 2's area. This station is not very busy as of now, so only 3 firefighters are on each shift. The city is planning to build new residential areas nearby, so this will call for a new apparatus at this station. A new quint is being planned to order soon and will most likely be housed here, as well as an ambulance.

Engine 26-1990/2013 Pierce Arrow XT Pumper/Tanker
Previously housed at Station 3, Engine 26 was moved here with the construction of Station 2 in 2007. It fits the job perfectly as it carries more water to emergencies in the less populated areas. Engine 26 is a unique and small apparatus, as it responds with only 2 firefighters. This truck was specifically built to fit into the small bay of Station 3 many years ago. It has since gotten a recent refurb with all LED lighting, a new bumper, and Chevrons added to the rear of the truck. Engine 26 is first-due to all calls in some of the less populated residential areas, as well as the many parks and open country roads the wind through this part of the city. |
Squad 26-2011 Ford F-450
Squad 26 was a much needed apparatus at Station 2. Due to the many MVA's and brush fires in this less populated part of the city, a small but efficient truck was needed. Squad 26 responds with 1-2 firefighters depending on the manpower available. Squad 26 is first-due to any MVA's, brush fires, and medical calls out of Station 2. This rig is ALS equipped and carries a set of Hurst extrication tools, generator, standard firefighting equipment, and a lightmast on top. Squad 26 is also equipped with a small pump and some hose for brush fires. |
Truck 26-Pierce Ladder
Currently in the design phases, Truck 26 will run as a quint from Station 2. This truck will replace Engine 26 and will be the department's 2nd aerial device. Since more houses are being built, another aerial device is needed in this area. Truck 26 will be either a 105' Heavy Duty, 100' Aluminum, or 75' Aluminum Pierce ladder. Current design pictured is a 105' Heavy Duty ladder. |
