Engine 24-2007 Pierce Arrow XT Pumper
After Station 2 was constructed, Engine 26 moved there and a new engine was needed for Station 3. Due to the small size of Station 3's single engine bay, a small but efficient engine was needed. Pierce (and Tom D) provided the department with Engine 24 in 2007. Engine 24 is first-due to any emergency in the downtown area, as well as the beach. It seats up to 6 firefighters and carries ALS medical equipment, extension ladders, and various firefighting equipment. Being a single engine company in the busy downtown area, this truck is probably the busiest apparatus in the department. |
